PicaresQue is a thriller set amidst the turbulent political and religious upheavals of the sixteenth century.

           In the wake of the turmoil created by The Massacre In Paris when the protestant Huguenots of France were executed, there existed a background of fear in England that the Catholic minority would take control. The plot of PicaresQue is based on the actual events that led to the trial and execution of Francis Throckmorton, who plotted to murder Queen Elizabeth I and uses the background from The Massacre In Paris a play by the Elizabethan playwright Christopher Marlowe. The story is told through the eyes of a fictitious Spanish street urchin, Vinicio, who is adopted by the Ambassador of Spain and used as a disposable messenger.
